i have 2 files that i saved in firefox on my desktop. they were from airline websites from when i was looking for best price etc. i am unable to delete them- firefox says- Cannot delete file: cannot read source file or disk. how can i get these off of my desktop?

I have unwanted desktop icons that were generated when downloading pictures from web sites. They will not delete. Is their a icon removal tool for my desktop? I know that their are many other similar posts. Regards & thanks
