Using Javascript I can detect whether Windows Media Player is installed but I want to be able to detect whether the FF WMP plugin is installed. I've searched the web but can't find an answer to this. Can anyone help? Thanks.

You can't detect the player directly, you can only detect the plugin (navigator.plugins).

A good place to ask questions and advice about web development is at the MozillaZine Web Development/Standards Evangelism forum. The helpers at that forum are more knowledgeable about web development issues. You need to register at the MozillaZine forum site in order to post at that forum.
