I have firefox version as follows:

Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9.2.12) Gecko/20101026 Firefox/3.6.12 GTB7.1

I cannot reply or compose messages on my gmail account using this browser. It gets locked in the "loading" status.

Check the pref dom.storage.enabled on the about:config page and make sure that the pref is set to true.

To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.

I just tried it and still no success. Why would it be doing this in the first place? Attached is a screen-shot. Any other suggestions?

I am suddenly having this problem with not being able to reply/forward to (certain Gmail conversations).

Now using, Mac OS 10.5.8 and experienced the presence of this issue with Firefox 3.6.10. AND 3.6.13 but not with Beta 4.

I have used Safari and the error is not reproducible. This issue is exclusively present to Gmail in FF.

I can confirm that FF config is presently dom.storage.enabled.

I have started FF in safemode, disabled, updated and enabled all plugins and add-ons, restarted FF and desktop many times, the issue is still present in FF 3.6.10/3.6.13.

Only some conversations cause this error. When I click on particular conversations reply/forward tab, the page freezes and the only way to temporarily resolve this, is to click the refresh icon as F5 will not work.

It does not freeze the whole FF browser, just the window with Gmail.

I need a fix as FF is my primary browser.

Thanks in advance! :-)

After lots of fooling around in Safe Mode and enabling/disabling add-ons, I pinpointed the culprit as AdBlock Plus. I can now load gmail, but I no longer have AdBlock Plus, which was really a great tool. Does anyone know anything about making AdBlock Plus compatible with Firefox again (v. 3.6.13)? BTW, the following add-ons were cleared for takeoff: Colorful Tabs, Evernote Web Clipper, and Speed Dial, the last two of which I cannot live without.
