a lot of web pages have text links that show as being java links - clicking on them in firefox does nothing - the link wont work - clicking the same link with the site opened in internet explorer/safari or chrome does work.

  • "Clear the Cache": Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
  • "Remove the Cookies" from sites that cause problems: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

  • Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Thanks for info - have tried all of that but still the same - I can click links in any browser and they work but not in firefox. Clicking link in firefox nothing happens at all.
