I can't open a new tab since last update. Can open tabs in Explorer, but not firefox. Even when right clicking.

Running Win Vista, and recenctly got latest update to firefox for my Dell Inspirion. Now when I click to add a new tab, nothing happens. Right click, and I get the menu box, but I click on new tab and nothing happens. I opened Explorer, and was able to open a new tab just fine. If I want to open another browser, I have to open a whole new window. Please let me know if I neede uninstall and reinstall Firefox. I've rebooted serveral times, and running a virus scan tonight.

Uninstall the Ask toolbar and it should work again. There is a compatibility issue with the Ask toolbar and Firefox that prevents new tabs from being opened.

Don't you hate it when it's that easy and you missed it? I see the toolbar I downloaded was powered by Ask.com, but it was actually for Crowdstar a company who makes games for Facebook. Namely, the It Girl game. One more reason I'm hating this game and Crowdstar. Hope this helps other Firefox users. And yes, I fully embrace my dorkiness for playing a game called It Girl.
