How do you change the color of the menu bar. The Black is horrible.

The black bar with the shaded grey scale text is difficult to read and the menu names are not much better. Isn't there a way to change to the classic colors or to something a little more appealing?

I have the default theme selected. I think that is what the problem is. The menu area is awful. The text is difficult to read. I found another theme that seems to be much better. Even tho it might be boring to some, I selected the xp theme and it is at least easy to read.
