How come every time when I open a new tab and click a link, I can't go back?.

more options

Ever time I bring up a new tab or window and click a link, firefox doesn't remember the page I was originally in. For example, if I google something on a new tab and then click a link, I can't go back to the google page; there is no back button for me to click on as if there was no history of the google search prior to clicking the link. This causes me to re-google my search and press ctrl while clicking the link to bring it to a new tab. This is really annoying when I'm trying to research something.

I never had this problem before and only began occurring recently. I tried uninstalling firefox and then installing firefox again but I still get the same problems.

Thanks in advance for any help to this problem.

I think I found the culprit. I find that when I disable the McAfee SiteAdvisor addon, the problem disappears. But I want to find a way to avoid this problem AND have SiteAdvisor enabled. Is this possible? I depend on SiteAdvisor quite a lot.
