Hi there. I am new to firefox, trying to import my bookmarks from google chrome. Have no problem getting my bookmarks ready to import into firefox, just cant seem to find the option to import them. all of the articles I have looked at say to go to bookmarks>organize bookmarks>import and backup. I do not get that dialog when I click on bookmarks in the menu bar. the dialog I see starts with bookmark this page and goes from there. no where do i find an option to import. hopefully I am just missing something simple, but I have been searching for quite a while now. I do find import under the file menu, but the only option is to import from safari.

Thanks, Tim

Try to export the bookmarks in Google Chrome to an HTML file (Tools > Export Bookmarks) and import that HTML file in Firefox.

  • Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks > Import & Backup > Import HTML : "From File"

like I said in my first post, that is not how the dialog does when i click on bookmarks in the menu bar. when I go to bookmarks in the menu bar on firefox, the dropdown menu I see goes like this:

bookmarks> and I have the following options. bookmark this page, subscribe to this page, bookmark all tabs, show all bookmarks. I'm still not able to find the right path to find import bookmarks. the attached image shows what I get when i click on bookmarks
