Why aren'y my App Tabs appearing when I open Firefox 4?

I have pinned App Tabs but they do not appear when I start Firefox 4, rendering them sorta useless.

I've checked my Add-ons to see if there are some settings blocking this (as seen in an unrelated post) but, neither of them (AdBlocker & Download Status Bar) have any settings related to App Tabs.

Will your App Tabs be wiped out if you clear your temporary files or do not save your internet history? And, if that's the case, doesn't that again make them sorta useless if you're trying to run a secure and efficient computer?

So, the problem seems to be that I had my settings to clear browser history when closing FF. I went into Options>Privacy and then I unchecked the box which says "Clear History When Firefox Closes". This has fixed the issue for me, however, it seems strange that I'm unable to use app tabs without being able to clear my cache, browser history, etc.

I may have it fixed, but I'm not sure I'll use it. Chrome has a similar feature (don't remember it's name) but it is not dependent on my not clearing the history. Maybe I'm missing something though.

Firefox v4.0.1 doesn't solve this issue.

App tabs and Tab Groups (Panorama) are stored as part of the session data in the file sessionstore.js in the Firefox Profile Folder

Make sure that you do not use Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox to clear the "Browsing History" if Firefox is closed.

That trick might work out for some people, but there are still others where this problem seems to persist. Unfortunately, I am one of the latter.

I just got an idea: could Xmarks have something to do with this reoccuring problem?
