Amoung many other problems quicktime does not work

What did they do. Besides the constant crashing, the quicktime plugin does not work. I am a web coder and I can no longer get audio of any sort to work in firefox 4, where it worked fine in firefox 3. Too many bugs for this to be released and now has forced me to use Chrome. Also, crashes, crashes, crashes. Constantly the browser is crashing. Firefox was the sweetheart in the coding world, now it simply does not work.

I have a problem too with Quicktime and Firefox 4. Firefox 4 works fine but Quicktime does not, even though it is up to date (on the latest Mac version).

I have had to go back to the previous version of Firefox and Quicktime is OK again.

From checking out Google I see that others are having a problem with Quicktime and Firefox 4.

Is this a problem with Firefox 4, or does Quicktime need to do an update or something?

I think it is a problem with Firefox. I checked the plugin and it is up to date, according to Firefox. I have no choice now but to use Chrome which is currently more stable and has better support for HTML5 and CSS3.

Well I don't want to change from Firefox but I can't stay on the previous version of Firefox forever. Clearly, if it is a Firefox 4 problem then they need to fix it. Do they know about it?

I've not had to deal with things like this before. Can anyone advise how to report this to Firefox so that this problem might get fixed?

Yes, Quicktime crashes in Firefox 4 when playing a simple thing like midi music for example, so I've reverted back to 3.6. I sent a number of error reports from FF4 when I was using it. Pity.

For the time being to revert to 3.6 is a good idea

I had the same problem.

Try to open FF4 in 32bit mode.
