Firefox 4 won't work with applications like Elluminate and WebEx

more options

Since Firefox 4 automatically downloaded and installed on my laptop (MacBook Pro 15), I can no longer successfully log into applications such as WebEx and Elluminate which worked fine on older versions of Firefox. Since I need to use these for my work, I'm having to go to another computer with an older version of Firefox to get into the sessions I need to be a part of. I've been told by PC users who have Firefox 4 that they are experiencing the same thing. What seems to be the issue?

Hi ddrena,

Thank you for posting this information. While our testing has shown that Elluminate Live! launches successfully when using Firefox 4, there may be something specifically that we can assist with here at Blackboard Collaborate Support. It is possible that after your upgrade that Firefox 4 lost its file association for JNLP files. We can provide guidance in this matter should you wish to contact us for assistance. Please visit our Support Portal at http://support.blackboardcollaborate.com and you may submit a ticket through there. You are also welcome to review our other product support documentation and resources available on our site.

Best Regards,

Dan LeBlanc Senior Manager, Technical Support Blackboard Collaborate
