When I type in www.hotmail.com, it goes to a windows live page and won't load my hotmail. I can't read my e-mail on hotmail anymore. When I click on hotmail on the windows live page, it does nothing

I type in www.hotmail.com in the address box and instead of going to my hotmail website page like it used to do, it goes to a "windows live" page. In fact, when it arrives at the windows live site, the website in the box changed to windows live---I didn't do it, it does it on its own.

This doesn't happen when I go use windows explorer as my search engine. I am able to go to hotmail and read my e-mail with explorer. Please help. Why can't firefox just go to hotmail like it used to do? Thanks

They are the same use your email address as your userid so it will know for instance whether it is MSN or HOTMAIL. I think that change was made a few years ago, yes when I went to Verizon DSL and then Verizon FiOs (Fiber).
