Go to Addons > Plugins and see if Shockwave Flash is listed. If so what's the version number? What sites are you getting the message on?
If not try going through this link to reinstall https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/browse/type:7

Internet Explorer uses a different kind of plugin from Firefox. You'll need to install the Flash Player again to get it to work. The download site picks the right version for the browser your in.

thank you for repling. I did re-install in fire fox but it still tells me the same thing. I went to the plug in bar that came up at the top and clicked on that also, but it did'nt change anything.

Hi i uninstalled flash again then re-installed it. Then i checked all my updates and went through them 1 at a time, fixed that now flash is working but one of the adobe updates still keeps telling me it is not updated evan though i have updated it, i am not going to worry about it unless it gives me problems. I also updated to the new firefox. Thanks you all for helping. After i did that i could.nt find where this post was, it all changed. I got back here through your link in the reply. again thank you.
