Can I set my bookmarks to appear in a left column as I've always done before?

Before I upgraded to Firefox 5 I used to have a toolbar that had "File", "Edit", "View", "History", "Bookmarks", "Tools", and "Help". I was able to select "View", select "Sidebar" and select "Bookmarks" to be able to view all my bookmarks at any time while browsing. Is there still a way to do that?
