it has been a huge debat of your logo some peolpe says its the animal red panda that also is named firfox and some thinks ist literary a fox on fire/ a ox with burning tail and you have taken the name from the animal and taken the logo from a fox that has a tail of fire and i need a answer what it actually is so people can realise what is it and stop marking others for their opinion.

Is there any money riding on this?

Mozilla's branding FAQ says "'Firefox' is another name for the red panda." Mozilla Firefox - Brand Name Frequently Asked Questions.

However, that doesn't answer your question about the logo. I think some artistic license was taken because who had ever heard of a red panda? You can consult some accurate animal photos, and these old blog posts, and draw your own conclusions.

none of those links says what the logo is it obly says what the animal is if you look at the link from the replay below it's more likely that the logo is fox on fire instead of a red panda.
