I have Firefox 5 installed on a new PC and everything worked fine for several weeks. Now suddenly Firefox completely freezes up about every 5 -10 seconds and remains unresponsive for about a second or two before resuming. When playing flash video, the video pauses but the audio continues. Even while typing this message it has already frozen about 6 times. I have tried completely removing Firefox, including the profiles and have tried downgrading to version 4 and even 3. Nothing has fixed it. It also does this in safe mode, even after I've killed off every other non-essential process, so I really don't see that it could be another program interfering. Do you have any suggestions? I love Firefox but it's completely unusable right now!
