Ask toolbar and search do not come as part of Firefox. That is frequently installed when downloading and installing or updating free programs from the internet and you will usually see an option to un-check for installing Ask when installing such a free program; be watchful. I see the Ask Toolbar in your IE8 that you used to post your question:

  • Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; Trident/4.0; EasyBits GO v1.0; SLCC2; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET CLR 3.0.30729; Media Center PC 6.0; MDDC; .NET4.0C; AskTbMTV/5.12.5.17640)
