Dell 1550 Inspiron laptop Windows XP. Always confused with the two files that open to save emails (a file folder and a firefox logo file) but besides that I seem able to save some web site files received through gmail but not others. When I try to open the firefox logo on the saved file, nothing loads and the end of the URL quivers. I have lost a lot of saved files

URL file:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/Catherine/My%20Documents/Kelleys%20Wedding/Confirmation%20%2010354%20Columbia%20George.htm?ui=2&view=bsp&ver=ohhl4rw8mbn4

Chosen solution

-> click Firefox button and click Save Page As... -> provide the location and filename -> in Save As Type: select Webpage, Complete -> click OK

When you save a page like this, 1 Folder and 1 File of the same name (as you specified above) are saved in the specified location, so you need to keep both of them. In order to view the Saved page, just open the file (Firefox logo).

IF you Delete the folder, you will not able to View the saved page.

Check and tell if its working.

Thank you mha007, I really appreciate your help. I think one problem could have been that I moved the saved files to a new location and didn't move both file and folder. I just moved the logo file. Also I probably didn't choose Webpage Complete when saving. Great job.
