Where are the URGENTLY-NEEDED "BACK" and "FORWARD" Buttons(or Arrows) to quickly Move Back or Forward --Their LACK is a SERIOUS MISTAKE...

WHY aren't "BACK" and FORWARD" Buttons/(Arrows) supplied on every (even the most basic version FIREFOX screen?) I've had to drop FIREFOX AS MY HOME / DEFAULT Browser because of the consistent inconvenience of not having a "BACK" and "FORWARD" arrow (Especially the "BACK" ARROW/Button

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in Full Screen mode with all toolbars hidden.

  • Press F11 to toggle full screen mode (Firefox/File > Full Screen)

Make sure that toolbars like the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible: "View > Toolbars"

  • Press F10 or tap the Alt key to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily if the Menu Bar is hidden.

The arrow to open the tab history of the Back and Forward buttons has been removed in Firefox 4 and later.

Use one of these methods to open the tab history list:

  • Right click on the Back or Forward button
  • Hold down the left mouse button on the enabled Back or Forward button until the list opens
