To sort Bookmarks: This is what worked for me in Firefox 7. Click on Bookmarks. Then click on Show all Bookmarks. On the right side main panel, double click on Bookmarks Menu. Then on the left side panel, right click on Bookmarks Menu. In the dropdown window select Sort by Name. To delete a bookmark: Click on Bookmarks. Then Show all Bookmarks. On the right side main panel double click on Bookmarks Menu. Then click on the bookmark you want to delete. It will become orange (at least on my mac). Right click on that name. Choose delete.
