I click-dragged an URL link into the links toolbar and it just shows ablank page icon - why can't I change the allocated icon in the link properties dialogue box? Can it be changed elsewhere so it stands out better?
I dragged an URL from the URL input field - in this case a 2nd Yahoo! email address login so I could quickly jump between accounts - into the links toolbar (the one with the 'Most Visited' link.
Noticing that the new URL link didn't have a Yahoo! icon I right-clicked the link and found that there is no option for altering the URL link icon to, well, anything(!) as one can do for most files in Windows Explorer.
I could alter the text label of the link without problem.
Is there buried somewhere else in Firefox the capability for doing so and if so where?
If not can this option be included in the Link Properties dialogue box in future, please?
I really would appreciate an answer so that I know my question hasn't fallen into the 'bit bucket.'

There are addons that allow you to change the icon. For example, you could try "Bookmark Favicon Changer": https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/bookmark-favicon-changer/
