In safe mode, or normal mode, Firefox 8.0 crashes multiple times daily on my 64 bit Vista PC, and this has been happening for the last 3 weeks. Is there a fix for this problem?
This problem generally shows up after the PC has been awakened from "sleep" mode.
Firefox 8.0 has not crashed on my MS XP Pro system PCs.

When 64Bit Vista PC, with Firefox 8.0, awakes from sleep other programs & Firefox browser appear to wake and be ready to use, however when I try to open a new window in Firefox the little circular arrow just continues to spin and does not open the new tab- at that point the existing tab or tabs in Firefox also refuse to refresh when I try to refresh any one of them; I appreciate any suggestions.
I thought about uninstalling Firefox and then reinstalling it to see if that would solve the crashing problem but did not want to lose my "book marks".

My Firefox shows dozens of crash reports since Aug 26 and the most recent one is 12/2/2011 940pm: https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/bp-5afe4afd-99af-4487-b707-3cd212111202
The only URL I can after the one above is in Sept when I was running Firefox 6.0:
