I am seeing "about:blank" in my address window now. Should I be concerned?

When clicking on links using Firefox, I briefly see "about:blank" in the address window. This doesn't happen with Internet Explorer or AOl. I've read that "about:blank" can be bad for the computer. How do I remedy it? My computer using Firefox did not do this before. When I mention clicking on links, it is usually from links on emails such as from Match.com. Thanks!

Hi kevin,

This isn't anything to worry about. That is the way Firefox displays certain pages, such as a blank page. Try typing about:credits in the address bar to see a list of all the Firefox contributors or typing about:memory to see your current memory usage. Typing about:home will give you the Firefox/Google search page.

Not sure where you heard that about:blank was bad, but it is nothing to worry about.
