I am trying to opne up in private browsing and when I right click the firox symbol on the task bar sometimes the private browsing task appears but if I click on it nothing happens Most of the time it just does not appear. I put the cursor over the firefox at the top of the page but it is not listed there either. I am having a similar problem with google chrome

Chosen solution

You may have security software that is preventing you from accessing Private Browsing mode.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
