When you clear history and cache does the cache images from things like YouTube videos end up in the recycle bin?

I'm trying to recall a music video I watched that I can't recall and since I don't have any saved history, I was hoping to look through deleted cache images.

Hey there, no, those things are deleted right away.

Do you know it it's possible to use undelete software to see if it may be still be in the hard-drive? I know Firefox stores all its individual information in SQLite files, but I haven't heard of cache being stored the same way.

It is possibly impossible to undelete files from the cache because those files are saved with a random name and you no longer have the file in the cache index (map) file as a reference.

You can look at this extension for easier access to files in the cache.

Thanks for the information. Do you know if any forensic tools could help recover any data? Whether itd be links or cache?
