I had to force log off, and when I opened up firefox again it started a new session. I've tried about:sessionrestore and sessionstore just had the sites for the new session. I had months of research and kept around 200 tabs open(through multiple layers of sessionrestore) and going through my history isn't an option. I'm guessing because of the multiple layers of session restores that I have a habit of making, they have to be stored somewhere. Is there any way for me to recover my session?

You can check in the Firefox Profile Folder if there is a sessionstore-##.js temp file with a number in the name present and if you find such a file with a time stamp from around that time then you can try to copy that file to sessionstore.js to see if that brings back your lost session.
If there isn't such a file then your session is lost.

You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder:
