Chosen solution

I would also review the following.Recent crashes of certain multimedia contents (this includes Youtube videos, certain flash games and other applications) in conjunction with Firefox 13 are most probably caused by a recent Flash 11.3 update and/or a malfunctioning Real Player browser plugin.

In order to remedy the problem, please perform the steps mentioned in these Knowledge Base articles:

Flash Plugin - Keep it up to date and troubleshoot problems

Adobe Flash plugin has crashed - Prevent it from happening again

Flash 11.3 doesn't load video in Firefox

What suggested solutions have you tried? Have you tried uninstalling and re-installing Adobe Flash Player?

Folks... I have had this problem for weeks!... I could either view YouTube videos or listen to AOL radio on line. However, I could not do BOTH. I experienced the same problem with the Internet Explorer (IE) browser as well.

I tried many of the suggestions that are out there, including downgrading to a lower version of FlashPlayer, etc. I have RealPlayer. So, if you do too, this may work for you. Following is what worked for me.

I did not have to do any workarounds, i.e. I did not have to disable RealPlayer Browser Record Plug-in.

First, I made sure that I had the latest version of RealPlayer (15.0.5.109). I thought that I originally had the latest version -- apparently I did not. Here is what you do:

1. Open the RealPlayer application 2. In the left hand corner of the application (to the right of the RealPlayer icon), click on the downward arrow to access the drop-down menu 3. Select 'Check for Update' (If you do not have the latest update, there will be a box checked-off for the update. If you do, you are all set with the RealPlayer portion of this issue.) 4. Run the update like you would any other download

Next, I wend to the Adobe website to make sure that I had the latest Flash Player Plug-in. Again, I thought I had the latest version, which is Plug-in version 11.3.300.265. I downloaded this latest Flash Player from the Adobe website.

Now I am "happy camper" as I can listen to AOL Radio on-line and watch YouTube videos without ANY workarounds using the Mozilla Firefox browser. I cannot say the same for the IE browser. However, my preference is the Mozilla Firefox browser.

And, I hope in the future, there is more cooperation/communication amongst software developers (Mozilla, Adobe and Realplayer) such that we users are not caught in the middle.

Good luck!... I hope this proves helpful for some of you.
