In firefox 4.0 , i am uploading the excel document should get converted as xml and it should be saved in our db. Taking to much of time morethan a minute

First, you really should update your Firefox. Firefox is 4 is not only slow, it has dozens of known security holes that make it dangerous to use on a day to day basis. Read Update Firefox to the latest release to ensure you download and install 14.0.1 (current version right now).

After updating, try to Reset Firefox. Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings

Also check your security software to be sure that it isn't causing the delay by scanning the file.
