How do I set the FF browser default to offline mode? ***I WANT IT OFFLINE***
I would like my FF browser to open in offline mode. There are a ton of help topics on how to disable the offline default, but none on how to enable it. I tried doing the opposite of what people suggested for turning the offline mode off, but nothing seems to work.
Thanks in adavance for any help!

The only way to start Firefox in Offline mode is via the Profile Manager start window.
That window has a checkbox to start in Offline mode.
All other methods via prefs may or may not work reliable and extensions usually do the opposite and try to force a start in online mode.

What have you tried so far?
In the SeaMonkey suite and the Thunderbird email client, you can add -offline to the command line to start up in offline mode. However, it isn't listed as being available in Firefox (but you could try it...). Source: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Command_Line_Options#-offline
I haven't tried this add-on, but on the author's page, it says you can specify offline mode at startup: Work Offline :: Add-ons for Firefox.
I've poked around the settings a bit. I was hoping the about:config page would have some options, but I didn't find anything yet:
network.online set to false
tried a few others, abut I can't remember wich
