What's your operating system -- Windows 8, MacOS X, Linux?

Note that Firefox does not run in the background, so you shouldn't see any effects when Firefox is not running.

Please research the download source you used (e.g., in your other browser's history) and let us know the URL.

I don't remember what site I downloaded it from I'm sorry but I do know that as soon as in installed this Firefox this is what happened the laptop freezes locks up! I just want to take it out but it just won't let me!

Hi Kevsat, did you try the steps in this article: Uninstall Firefox from your computer. If the article does not correctly detect the relevant operating system, there is a button about 2.5 inches down the page you can click to change to the relevant operating system.
