You can do that by creating style rules, but it's probably easier to use this extension: Theme Font & Size Changer.

It adds an icon to the right end of the main navigation toolbar ("A" design) where you can adjust the font size.

Once you've got the size the way you want, you can remove the button or move it to a less crowded bar using the Customize feature. This article has the steps: Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars.
