Re-enable dialog for unresponsive script AND ADD AN EXCEPTION FOR SOME
I'm developing an experimental application that really abuses javascript to do things for which it is not designed. I must say that it runs smooth in Google chrome though, but I use Firefox because it's way better for development and saves a lot's of RAM.
But to the point - I was tired of clicking "Let the script finish..." or whatever button, so I checked "Never ask me again.". I thought this applies for one specific script.
Nope, it applies to all the scripts on all site. And not only that. Whatever makes Firefox unresponsive, I must restart it. Even such obvious things like while(true), but also a strange things, like big text output from a PHP script.
1. How do I re-enable the script guard for scripts.
2. How do I add exceptions for some scripts?

On #1, could you reset this preference and see whether that does it?
(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste max and pause while the list is filtered
(3) Right-click the dom.max_script_run_time preference and choose Reset to restore the default value of 10 seconds.
On #2, hmm, don't know if that's possible. I see an open request for enhancement for it from 2009...

If you encounter a lot of slow script hangs, consider that it might be the Flash Player plugin's protected mode feature.
The following pages provide information on how to disable the protected mode feature.
