I use Thunderbird for my retail store to communicate through my Shiprite software to my mailbox holders. I sometimes come across a customer that does not have an email address, such as my elderly customers but do have a cell phone. Is it possible to communicate via test message through Thunderbird ?

Your programing is great and i use it daily for my business.

Not on its own. There are some services out there that will do email to text conversions.

Most phone carriers have a text gateway that you can use.

For example you can send a text to an at&t wireless phone by using the recipient's 10-digit wireless phone number, followed by @txt.att.net, for example, 5551234567@txt.att.net.
