Lost all Outlook e-mail after crash and reset to factory. How to restore e-mail?
Firefox crashed and offered to reset my computer keeping my current tabs. I didn't think it would erase all of my Outlook inbox e-mail and all the e-mail stored in my folders. I tried Outlook recovery, but could not get it back. Is all lost forever?

Fred, Thank you for your reply. I just figured out how to respond properly. Attached are my crash reports. Does the crash have anything to do with my e-mails and folders disappearing from Outlook? bp-bb9ea5a6-4651-4961-8131-cfeed2150308 3/8/2015 4:22 PM bp-9f0d02a9-e9c4-4d71-b993-08d622150308 3/8/2015 4:20 PM bp-587f3d99-9d45-4007-85ee-699c72150308 3/8/2015 4:18 PM bp-41c9bc78-3513-41f3-8029-5ced52150308 3/8/2015 12:55 PM bp-3d8c85d5-7d07-483f-8c6b-4a1932141013 10/13/2014 8:16 AM bp-2f95db81-7c71-4b28-98a8-f2f5d2141003 10/3/2014 2:14 PM bp-f63d976d-e999-4675-9a75-cc04c2140717 7/16/2014 7:30 PM
Fred, I have a hard time getting Firefox to come up. This started before the crash. Somewhere I saw that Firefox security update 36.0.1 could not be completed today at 12:48:23. "Update server not found". "Check your internet connection." However I can get on the internet. Any ideas? Thank you! Jerri
Are you using the stand-alone Outlook program, or the online version at mail.live.com?
The three most recent crash reports are crashes in the Flash plugin.
The fourth one says "shutdownhang" which indicates Firefox had a problem properly unloading and cleaning up files when it was closing. Can you tell from the time whether that was before or after you used the Refresh feature?

Type about:preferences#advanced<Enter> in the address bar.
Under Advanced, Select Network. Look for Configure How Firefox Connects and press the Settings button. If you are using a proxy, make sure those settings are correct. If there is no proxy, first use No Proxy. If there is a problem, then try System Proxy.
Some problems occurs when your Internet security program was set to trust the previous version of Firefox, but no longer recognizes your updated version as trusted. Now how to fix the problem: To allow Firefox to connect to the Internet again;
- Make sure your Internet security software is up-to-date (i.e. you are running the latest version).
- Remove Firefox from your program's list of trusted or recognized programs. For detailed instructions, see
Configure firewalls so that Firefox can access the Internet. {web link}

Windows Live Mail is part of Windows Live Essentials and runs separately from the browsers.
