I didn't have that problem.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?

While still in Safe Mode,

Type about:support in the address bar and press Enter. Under the main banner, press the button; Copy Text To Clipboard.. Then in the reply box at the bottom of this page, do a right click in the box and select Paste. This will show us your system details. No Personal Information Is Collected.

The page uses the default "monospace" font which, on my Firefox, is Courier New. Your Firefox looks to be using something different.

You can check/reset this setting using the about:config preferences editor:

(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button promising to be careful.

(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste monos and pause while the list is filtered

(3) Scroll down and look for any bolded and "user set" items, particularly either of these:

• font.name.monospace.x-unicode
• font.name.monospace.x-western

If it's something that may not have been intended to look like a fixed-width typewriter font, you can right-click > Reset the preference to restore it to Courier New.

If you prefer to experiment with a different font, you can use the Options page:

"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options

In the left column, click Content, the on the right side, the Advanced button. This may default to "Latin" at the top, which corresponds to x-western in about:config, while "Other Writing Systems" corresponds to x-unicode in about:config.

You can right-click and select "Inspect Element" to open the Inspector ("3-bar" menu button or Tools > Web Developer) with this element selected. You can check the font used for selected text in the Font tab in the right pane of the Inspector.

I reset it to Courier New and the text reads properly  :-) Thanks for fixing that.

So now, slightly different question. Why is the Terminal font, space character represented by "a" with a line above it? Is that a bug in that font? I prefer bold fonts, easier on these old eyes.
