Don’t know why Firefox acts strangely on my macbook as described below:

1. Can’t load up gmail login page (wheel just turn and turn nothing happens) 2. Can’t load google search page (wheel just turn and turn nothing happens) 3. Can’t load google translate page (wheel just turn and turn nothing happens) 4. Already restarted macbook also same 5. Cleared the cache and browsing history also same 6. Then uninstalled and downloaded latest version of Firefox install it but still the same 7. Go through Mozilla support read some suggestions to disable hardware acceleration but also same can’t work still 8. Some suggested under connection select auto proxy, done but same can’t work still 9. No add-on plug in etc in Firefox too 10. Funny thing is that if I want go other websites none google ones e.g. yahoo, hobby forum page etc all working normally 11. So I tried from yahoo type gmail in yahoo search, it brings me to gmail login page, from there I can login but when log out, it takes forever to log out and cannot complete log out process showing blank page please wait 12. Using yahoo again to go to gmail login page, shows that I’m log out of my gmail already as asking me to log in again 13. In addition, in my gmail I realized if I click on any links inside my email it will also take forever to load and nothing happens too 14. Likewise from yahoo search I type google.com I can go google page but direct I can’t 15. Any idea what could be the issue and how to resolve this? All along it was working fine until the day before

Thanks.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).

Is the problem still there?

Start your Computer in safe mode with networking. Then start Firefox. Try Safe websites. Is the problem still there?

Hi, delete all references to Gmail/Google, as shown under the heading 'How do I remove a single website from my history?' in this article - Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox, then try the site (not from an old bookmark) again.

Also check the settings of any AV you have as shown in How to troubleshoot security error codes on secure websites
