Windows 10 - updated to latest edition on both machines.

I have two PC's running Thunderbird 45.3.0 on one identical email accounts & settings (pop.gmail.com, Port 995, SSL/TLS, Normal Password) it downloads as expected.

The second did also but now it's giving the following error "Sending of password for user xxxxxxx@gmail.com did not succeed. Mail server pop,gmail.com responded: Web login required: https://support.google.com/mail/answer/78754 I have followed all the hints on the Google Mail site with sucess.

We don't want to use IMAP, we want to stay with POP.

Is there a Thunderbird configuration file that might be causing the issue? I've tried uninstalling it, reboot, then reinstall and it come back the same as before the uninstall. Is there a utility that would truely removed all traces of Thunderbird before I again install it. I've tried IOBit's Uninstaller Pro with out sucess, what will really work????

What will work is jumping through whatever hoops Google want you to on their web site. For example have you enabled less secure apps? It is necessary for POP but not for IMAP.
