Can't login to my account on new computer-Problem solved!!
My Surface Pro was completely wiped clean and re-set to original defaults as MS tried unsuccessfully to fix a hardware problem. I am running Windows 10.
After sending this I researched some more and found that I needed to go to accounts.firefox.com. That allowed me to access the sync function.
========================================================================
After setting up my wi-fi I am trying to sync it with my Firefox account. But when I do I get a blank screen, which seems to be a common problem. But none of the fixes I tried worked:
1. Ensuring dom.storage was enabled; it was 2. Enabling cookies generally, I think I have 3. I went to about:preferences and made sure English-us was chosen 4. Went to about:accounts and Get Started popped up. But when I clicked it the page is blank. 5. Going to about:accounts directly but still get a blank page
I have also tried getting to my account by going to the Sync tab where it asks me to sign in. I get transferred to a site about:accounts?action=signin&entrypoint=preferences but still the page is blank

Hi
Glad to hear that everything is okay.
Worth mentioning that Firefox Sync is not designed as a backup tool and should not be relied on as such. it is primarily designed to help people (typically) take their bookmarks and other data with them from desktop Firefox to a mobile version. Whilst it does make use of a server to do this, it is not permanent storage.
I am glad to hear that you are back up and running.
