Outlook Live (free version) not working in Firefox: Can't read email.

more options

A few days ago Outlook Live stopped showing content of emails in both Edge and Firefox. I could see them in Gmail and on a Kindle. Others reported this problem on various forums. I thought MS was trying to get rid of the free version, but after a couple days, it started working again, although slowly on Firefox. Then today it quit working in Firefox but works in Edge. I am reporting this in Edge, therefore no Firefox troubleshooting information.

The site where your mailbox is hosted is live.com (e.g., outlook.live.com) not outlook.com.

You also can remove a site's cookies while viewing a page on the site -- even a partially complete page. That would be using the Page Info dialog, so either:

  • right-click (on Mac Ctrl+click) a blank area of the page and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
  • (menu bar) Tools > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
  • click the padlock or "i" icon in the address bar, then the ">" button, then More Information, and finally the "View Cookies" button

In the dialog that opens, the current site should be pre-filled in the search box at the top of the dialog so you can remove that site's cookies individually.
