Firefox Web pages are hard to read. Example: Light gray on white background in Firefox. Black on white background in Internet Explorer. Same pg in IE readable. I fixed this problem before. I don't remember how to do it. I wish I could show you a screenshot from IE & Firefox. That would show the problem.

You can look at Zoom Page WE and NoSquint Plus extension to set a default font size and page zoom on web pages.
