After installing FF v57.0 and re-starting FF, browser stays to v56.0.2

After having installed v57.0 the browser is re-started and the new v57.0 lay-out should appear. Since this was not the cause I checked the installed version and it turned out it was still v56.0.2. Why is the installation of v57.0 failing?

Hello, try running the standalone installer from here: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/?scene=2

This should be able to upgrade your copy of Firefox manually, if this solved your problem, please mark as solution so others can solve it too!

Hello, try running the standalone installer from here: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/?scene=2

This should be able to upgrade your copy of Firefox manually, if this solved your problem, please mark as solution so others can solve it too!

Running the standalone installer as recommended by Mkll does work without problems, v57 is installed correctly, thanks.

When looking to 'Help' -> 'About Firefox' however, a button 'Restart to update Firefox' is shown. Pushing this button restarts FF, but nothing seems to happen. Is this a bug?
