I used Paypal to pay for a purchase on a website using FireFox, now when I try to login to my PayPal account on Firefox I get redirected back to the website where I made my purchase. I have tried clearing data and cookies. I can login successfully to PayPal using other web browsers.

Well this all seems to have cleared up by itself now (after 3 days). I have changed related passwords, just in case. And I will monitor my PayPal account.

Thanks.

I use Paypal on both Chrome and FF and have no redirect issues. Did you contact paypal about this issue as well.

I have used PayPal with Firefox before with no problem many times before also. Since I have not had problems with Chrome or Internet Explorer I didn't consider it a PayPal issue so I have not contacted them.

Hi, I would think you have other problems and should also change you Paypal password. Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.

You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:

Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista if you don't already have one. Windows 8/10 have antivirus protection built-in.

Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.

Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!

Pkshadow I always have Norton Security software running on my computers. I did run a Malwarebytes scan. Neither of these found any Malware.

I have found this problem also happens on Chrome, if I use my password manager (Dashlane) to automatically log me in to PayPal. So this is apparently NOT a FireFox issue. I will be contacting PayPal to see if the can assist.

Thanks for the responses.
