Can't send or receive email
i have three email accounts - two are gmail and the third is a bresnan.net which is affiliated with Spectrum. The pop up messages tell me the bresnan account can't connect to the server. I contracted Spectrum and they troubleshot on their end, finding nothing wrong. They suggested I contact you for the fix. (The two gmail accounts I access via Mozilla are not affected and work fine.)

What do you have for the incoming and outgoing server settings? Spectrum requires these ones: incoming server mobile.charter.net on port 993 (IMAP) or 995 (POP), SSL/TLS, normal password, User name = email address; outgoing server mobile.charter.net on port 587, SSL/TLS, normal password, User name = email address.
Those should work if you have a bresnan.net or charter.net address.
Sorry but I'm pretty stupid about this. My kids set it all up and they aren't around. How do I access the server settings to check that or make those changes? Thank you.
Open Tools/Account Settings, look at Server Settings for the incoming and Outgoing Server (SMTP) at the bottom of the left pane.
