downloading pdf file from link

Hi.
When I click on a link to a pdf nothing happens. No download message. Can't find the file. Acrobat reader is default for pdf.
It works normally in chrome.

Hi
Instead of tapping on the link, I recommend that you long press on the link and a menu should appear that gives the option to download the file.
Doesn't work. If I google and results have links that are pdf just holding the link does nothing. If I tap blue line runs from to right at top of screen.
It doesn't work. When I've done it, has only appeared a file called 'invalid.txt' I'm using a samsung galaxy tab s5e I bought last december. My previous tablet was a samsung tab S2 and didn't show this problem. What can I do?
Same issue. Galaxy s10e android 10.
Chrome doesn't have this problem.
