This was sudden and persistent. It offers me to change my password, which I've now done numerous times, to no avail. Nothing was changed (by me) in the first place. It's been like this for weeks.

Hi Thunderbird needs to know the same password that works to access your email account online. Did anything change recently with your online account? If you are able to, please log in (manually) to your online webmail, and check that the password works there. If you are successful, enter the same password for Thunderbird when prompted. If that online account password does not work, you may need to reset both - the online password first, and then set Thunderbird password to match. Best wishes, Agnes

I can't log into my Thunderbird account. I haven't changed my password, and I'm getting desperate.

Hi Aller.sophie - It would be better if you posted a new request for help instead of adding to one from months ago that might not be the same problem. Fairlynn, please ignore this - it's someone else who asked their question as a 'reply' to yours. I hope you managed to solve yours. Agnes
