In Firefox 70 there has been some changes to the address bar. See this blog post: https://blog.mozilla.org/security/2019/10/15/improved-security-and-privacy-indicators-in-firefox-70/ You can still drag and drop an icon/webpage link onto the desktop. You just drag the padlock icon.

You inadvertently marked my post as Chosen Solution instead of Joergen's post .....

You can rectify it by clicking on the "Undo" button and then mark Joergen's post as Chosen Solution.

Sorry for putting you through all this trouble .....
