I do not know what a .jsp extension is and cannot open this document. When I try to choose an application, Preview is greyed out. These are bank statements that I open every month, without a problem. Now, none of them will open, including past months that always worked before. If I log onto this page in Safari, all the documents can be opened without errors or extra steps.

I would assume your bank screwed up here and removed some HTTP headers (technical stuff, the message is "probably not your fault", and "jsp" stands for "java server pages", just fyi). maybe it's worth contacting them as well with this problem.

To solve it, can you

a) choose an application? b) save the page? (it does not look like it, but if you can you problably have to rename the file to set a ".pdf" suffix)

cheers, axel.

Well, that is a work around. Using Firefox, I was able to choose an application, open the page with Evernote, save it,close Evernote, open Finder, find it, change the extension to .pdf, open it. Cumbersome. BUT using Safari, I just clicked on the page and it opened immediately in Preview, so Safari knew what to do with the .jsp extension. Firefox did not.
