How do I add a website to my Firefox location permissions?
Opentable thinks I'm 3,000 miles from where I am. How can I get it to recognize my actual location ? I have determined that this is not an opentable issue. When I go to Firefox Location Settings. You can delete a website but you can't add one.

Is opentable listed on that location settings table? I'd remove it and try reallowing permission for opentable to access your location. If you can, check geo.enabled in about:config and see if its turned on or off (this is the setting that allows websites to even ask) just in case.
Hi f8s.tq.r3j, if Firefox doesn't prompt you to grant a site permission to query your precise location, you can give permission through the Page Info dialog. Here's how:
While you are on the site, call that up using any of these:
- (menu bar) Tools menu > Page Info
- right-click a blank area of the page and choose View Page Info
Then click the Permissions icon at the top to switch panels.
Near the top of the Permissions list, you'll find "Access Your Location" where you can uncheck the "Use default" box and select the permission you prefer. That's it, there's no Save button, you can close the dialog.
You probably will need to reload the page to trigger it to determine your location again, or perhaps you'll need to log out and log back in (each site may work differently).
As a footnote: giving sites access to precise location is more convenient, but I generally just type my zip code where that is an option since websites don't really need to know what house I live in.
You may also have to clear the cookies for involved websites (domains).
You can clear the Cache and remove the Cookies for websites that cause problems via the "3-bar" Firefox menu button (Options/Preferences).
"Remove the Cookies" for websites that cause problems:
- Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security
Cookies and Site Data: "Manage Data"
"Clear the Cache":
- Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security
Cookies and Site Data -> Clear Data -> Cached Web Content: Clear
