Typing outside of textbox triggers search on page
I can't play PICO-8 because of it, the thing just switches into search on page mode keyword.enabled := false on the about:config didn't help

This is likely about the "Search for text when you start typing" feature that you can find in "Options/Preferences -> General -> Browsing".
As a footnote, the keyword.enabled preference controls whether Firefox allows searches from the address bar. The preference corresponding to the setting cor-el mentioned is accessibility.typeaheadfind.
