Dear Mozilla Firefox support team, we are Marius Oeller and Chris Trausnitz and are students at the University of Applied Sciences Salzburg in Austria. We would need your help for a project we want to do in the context of sustainability at our university. We want to install the search engine "Ecosia" as the standard search engine on our university server system. Ecosia drives and supports the planting of forests by means of the search queries. By using Ecosia at an entire university, the number of search queries would of course increase further and thus strongly support the sustainable project of Ecosia. To implement our idea, we contacted the IT department of our university, but they told us that they would have to change the default settings of Mozilla Firefox or change them manually with every browser update. However, we didn't want to give in that easily and so we are now contacting you directly to ask if our project could be realized somehow.
